Downtown Engagement Session

Michelle and Elmer are jet-setting to the Rivera Maya today (!!!) for their elopement and what better opportunity is there than to share their fun engagement session.  The two are celebrating an intimate wedding this week with the Caribbean Sea as a backdrop for their ceremony.  Intimate destination weddings are the best kept secret in the wedding industry.  Having had a destination wedding myself, I can attest to the lack of stress I experienced in not having to plan everything down to the last minute detail for a wedding here at home.
The session was held in downtown Bentonville and ended at Bike Rack Brewery at the 8th Street Market.  With their session, we went for a little nature, southern flare, mixed with some downtown graffiti vibes- throwing it back to Elmer’s New Jersey roots and the cherry to top it all off was a round of craft beer at the one and only Bike Rack Brewery.  Engagement sessions should be fun and I’m so happy Michelle and Elmer asked me to take their photos.  If you’re reading this…have fun Love Birds!!!

Bentonville Sunset Maternity Session

Hi Everyone!!  It has been a minute since beautiful photos have graced my blog.  As a part time photographer, I’m still shooting but not every weekend.  The most recent session I’ve enjoyed being a part of was a sunset maternity session.  There are certain types of portrait sessions that fuel my passion for photography, maternity sessions are one of those and I’m constantly being pulled toward female-strong portraits.

This momma to be was pregnant at the time with her second child.  The baby was born just two days ago.  Mom and Baby are happy and healthy.  Now as a mom of two boys, her life is going to get even more exciting.  In a few days I’ll be cuddling the new babe and taking more photos.  In the meantime, have a look-sy at some my favorite shots from her maternity session.
