Northwest Arkansas Portrait Photography- Fall Family Session

Check out my favorite family session from this year.   It may also be in the running for my favorite family shoot ever, possibly because Addie & Byron are super laid back and look pretty darn good in front of my camera.  It helped to make my job easy!  The color scheme within the outfits they chose for their session really pulled this fall family session together.

We met for their session at Tanyard Creek in Bella Vista.  Tanyard will always hold a special place in my heart.  My very first session (an engagement) was held there way back when.  Awww, memories :)  Photographing at Tanyard Creek is fun because it gives a chance to relax, have a little fun at the park, and get to know my clients better while walking from one cool shooting spot to the next.

Northwest Arkansas Portrait Photography- Baby Jaiden

This is only my second newborn shoot as I typically shoot weddings and individuals, such as young adults, seniors or fashionistas.  I enjoyed this session and it was something out of the norm for me.  We photographed Baby J in my home in the sun-room which allowed for lots of natural light.  I also popped on my external flash from time to time to help fill in the shadows for certain shots.

I'll be honest I usually opt out of the in-home studio sessions because I have a HUGE pet peeve for cheesy studio set-ups that I see a lot of times from other photographers.  I'll put myself out there on this one--I had feared I wouldn't be able to produce the images I want to offer to my clients.  I am not a studio photographer but sessions like this make me want to create more of this fabulous and casual studio set up I envision in my head.  I am happy with the outcome. These beautiful baby photos aren't too cheesy :)

Mandy & Gavin's Vintage Wedding: The Portraits

Mandy and Gavin are naturals in front of the camera as you may be able to tell.  Their wedding portraits were photographed at Creekwood Gardens in Rogers, AR.  I am in love with Mandy's birdcage veil, it really pulls together the vintage details throughout their wedding day.  Here are some of my favorites of the bride and groom.

Mandy & Gavin's Vintage Wedding: The Details & Sweet Moments

Mandy and Gavin's wedding was a vintage inspired romantic event with burlap, lace, and antique pearls.  Her colors, lavender and cobalt blue, stood out against the fall background beautifully.  They were married on 10.13.12 at Creekwood Gardens in Rogers, AR on a day that was mostly cloudy.

Everyone was very happy the rain decided to hold off after the ceremony and just as we were getting into our cars after the bride and groom formal shots.  I still don't know how we pulled that off with tornados touching down that evening across town.  Everyone was too busy to notice, celebrating the night away at the reception venue, Serendipity, in downtown Rogers, AR.

This was one heck of a wedding and I'm so thankful to have the honor of photographing Mandy and Gavin's big day.  I had a very hard time choosing what photos to preview here, I could have posted many more.  Here are some of my favorite photos that help tell the story and describe the details of their day as well as some sweet moments.  Stay tuned for wedding portraits in the next blog post.  My favorite!

Albums, Albums, Albums...

I love to offer high end albums for wedding clients.  There are photographers in the NWA area who offer digital files to you so you can print your own albums however you want... wherever you want, sure they're out there...

It sounds great, but really do you want to pay a photographer to hand over the photos for YOU to fend for yourself in album production?  I am not joking when I say I love to be able to provide brides with high quality albums so they can showcase their wedding time and time again.  You pick out your favorite photos and I do the rest...  It's that simple.

It's important to have tangible wedding photos from the most important day in your life.  Digital photos or pictures on a CD only go so far, as far as your computer can run on two legs.  Bean Snaps is here to produce a tangible momento that will last forever.

War Eagle Mill Family Session

This post is long overdue but I definitely wanted to share this session I shot over the summer.  This was photographed early in the morning at War Eagle Mill in Rogers, AR.
