Eeeek!!! I’m so
excited to finally post on the blog one of my favorite sessions!! The session you are about to see has been in
the works for quite some time. I’ve held
a desire to photograph a 1940s styled shoot since my first couple years of
photographing portraits.
On the opening day of the Fayetteville Farmers Market this
year, I drove an hour and a half from Missouri
to enjoy the market and also hit up the local vintage clothing store, Cheap
Thrills, and 410 Vintage to check for props and furniture. Finding a model was also a task to conquer, I
needed someone who fit the look and feel of 1940s.
Adeliene was the perfect model for this session and I
couldn’t haven been happier with how everything turned out! A special shout out to the vintage hairstyle
provided by Rachel Bray and make-up at MAC in Northwest
Arkansas with Ann. We used
the old Powell Bridge in Southwest Missouri as a backdrop and my sweet
neighbor was kind enough to let us use the homemade suspension bridge on his
property for one of the photo locations which has been in his family for
decades.
This session was a dream come true and I’m so thankful for
all those who took part in it or volunteered their time to help create a work
of art in the form of beautiful photographs!!
